What is it?
Fagron Trichotest ™ test is an innovative genetic test using a mouth swab which will tell you the causes for your hair loss. For the first time, it is now possible to treat hair loss on an individualised pattern rather than simply assuming a cause and treating yourself blindly. The analysis used in Fagron TrichoTest™ has been scientifically validated by global research.
The Process
This process involves an online consultation during which you will be guided to take swab from your mouth using a spongey stick that you will receive in the post. The swab is processed in a lab in Spain and the results will take around 4 weeks to receive. Your individualised DNA report will demonstrate which treatments will provide you with the maximum benefit.
Results
Once you have your results, you will have a follow up consultation to discuss the treatment options and work out which are compatible with your lifestyle. These medications will be prescribed and sent to your home address
What type of treatments are recommended?
The treatments recommend may include anti inflammatories, circulation stimulants, minerals, vitamins, collagen stimulants and hormones. These may include preparations to apply to the scalp or tablets / capsules to take by mouth.

Are there any in clinic treatments that might help me?
We would always recommend a course of PRP (Protein Rich Plasma) to either complement your at home regimen or use as a stand alone treatment. Biotin shots can also be used to complement hair restoration treatments.
How does it work?
The process couldn’t be simpler, simply book and pay for your test. You will be sent a test kit to your home address. During your consultation you will be asked about your general health as well as questions regarding your concern. You will take your DNA test during the consultation. You will put the test kit into the prepaid postage kit and send it on its way to Spain.
Once the result comes back (usually around 4 weeks) you will have the opportunity to discuss with our nurse and you will also receive written results with the recommendations. it involves a swab test taken from inside your cheek alongside a detailed medical questionnaire. The swab is sent to the accredited lab in Spain.
How do I access treatments?
Should you wish to proceed with any of the recommended treatments, our nurse will issue a prescription to our specialist pharmacy who will contact you directly and deliver to your home address.
