How does Botox work for Wrinkle Reduction?
Wrinkle reduction injections are a preventative treatment and are suitable for both men and women alike. They are used to soften any wrinkles you already have and to prevent them from deepening. They also leave your face with 'The fresh factor'. Commonly we use Botox in the upper face. Popular areas to treat include forehead, frown and ‘crows feet’. In the face we use botox to relax the muscles under the skin, so that the skin lying over the muscles doesn’t become so creased. Our experience ensures you a natural looking refreshed look. Botox has lots of uses in the lower face too, such as the lip flip, the neck, cobbled chin and jaw slimming to name a few. The idea of the lip flip is to give the upper a lip a little fullness without actually adding any volume. Tiny injections of Botox are placed just above the upper lip to achieve this look.

However, if you choose to have it once or twice a year you will still benefit because for 3-6 months of the year the action of your muscles will not be enough to contribute to the lines in your face.
How much is Botox in the UK?
Here at LPA we charge £250 for 1 vial and £375 for 2 vials. We do it this way so that there is no restriction with regards to where we use the treatment. You will find that prices elsewhere vary a lot from much cheaper to much more expensive. At LPA we use premium grade Botox from an official pharmaceutical distributor administered by highly experienced skilled nurses. Beware of too good to be true deals - they are just that. In the UK many clinics charge by ‘the area’ treated. At LPA we prefer the non British model of charging by the amount of product we use. This way we are charging fairly and we have the freedom to use the Botox anywhere we feel will benefit.
What Happens At a Botox Consultation?
During a Botox consultation you will go through a thorough medical questionnaire asking about any health problems or medications. You may also be asked a few questions about how you feel about yourself and your general emotional wellbeing. Once that is done you might be asked to point out the issues you have and what you think would benefit from treatment. If it is your first time your practitioner should give you an explanation of the treatment, including things like side effects, do’s and don’ts following treatment and how long it might last. You will have some photographs taken for your medical records. Your practitioner will arrange a date for you to come back and have treatment, allowing a little time to think it over and be really sure it is the right treatment for you.
