Shikaira Castro is an experienced Registered Nurse with over a decade of clinical experience across specialist areas including Haematology, Oncology, Surgery, Stem Cell Transplantation and Immunotherapy. Most recently, she worked as a Skin and Immunotherapy Clinical Nurse Specialist within a leading private hospital in London.

Her nursing career has given Shikaira a strong foundation in clinical assessment, patient safety and compassionate care. She brings this experience into her practice in medical aesthetics, where she is committed to ensuring that every patient receives thoughtful, individualised and clinically appropriate treatment.

Shikaira’s interest in non-surgical aesthetics began from her own personal experience with skin concerns. Exploring aesthetic medicine gave her a deeper understanding of the relationship between skin health, appearance and self-confidence, and she became particularly interested in the positive impact that carefully considered aesthetic treatment can have on a person’s overall wellbeing.

Alongside her extensive clinical experience, Shikaira has pursued further academic and professional development, completing postgraduate courses at institutions including King’s College London, the University of Birmingham, City, University of London, The Royal Marsden School and Sheffield Hallam University. She has also undertaken advanced medical aesthetic training with internationally recognised organisations including the British Aesthetic Academy, Harvard University Online and the Allergan Medical Institute in both the UK and United States.

Shikaira’s approach to aesthetics is grounded in her clinical background and centred on subtle, natural-looking results. She takes time to understand each patient’s concerns and expectations before developing a treatment plan tailored to their individual needs, facial anatomy and skin health. She believes aesthetic treatment should enhance a person’s natural features rather than change their character or identity.

Shikaira will only recommend treatment when she believes it is appropriate and capable of providing a meaningful benefit, and is equally comfortable advising against treatment where it is unnecessary or unsuitable.
