Eda Houghton is a Registered Nurse and experienced aesthetic practitioner with more than 15 years of specialist experience in medical aesthetics. Originally trained as an adult nurse, Eda began her nursing career within a busy cardiothoracic unit, gaining valuable experience caring for patients across admission and discharge, high dependency and intensive care settings.
Her career in aesthetic medicine developed in Australia, where she spent many years working independently as an aesthetic nurse practitioner before progressing to clinic management and establishing a successful career at Renew Cosmetic Sydney. During this time, Eda developed extensive expertise in non-surgical facial and body treatments, combining advanced injectable treatments with medical skin therapies and energy-based technologies. Her experience includes anti-wrinkle treatments, dermal fillers, threads, Profhilo, mesotherapy, PRP and regenerative treatments, alongside chemical peels, skin needling, IPL, laser, HIFU and radiofrequency therapies.
Having worked extensively in both clinical practice and clinic management, Eda brings a broad understanding of aesthetic medicine to her work. Her responsibilities have included detailed patient consultations, treatment planning, clinical record keeping and follow-up, as well as staff management, clinic coordination and maintaining high standards of clinical practice. Her focus on patient care contributed to strong client retention and sustained organic growth throughout her time in practice.
Eda holds a Bachelor’s degree in Nursing and a Master’s degree in Health Services Management, which complements her clinical expertise with a strong understanding of healthcare leadership and management. She has also undertaken specialist training in aesthetic injectables and continues to develop her skills through ongoing professional education.
Her approach to aesthetics is centred on enhancing rather than changing a person’s appearance. Eda believes that carefully planned treatments should work with an individual’s natural features to create balanced, refreshed and natural-looking results. She takes time to understand each patient’s concerns and expectations before recommending a personalised treatment approach.
Patients value Eda’s extensive practical experience, clear communication and warm, approachable manner. She combines her background in acute nursing with many years of aesthetic expertise to provide thoughtful, safe and individualised care, with the aim of helping patients feel confident while still looking like themselves.
Eda combines extensive nursing experience with advanced aesthetic training across injectable, regenerative and energy-based treatments. Her approach focuses on careful assessment, personalised treatment planning and results that enhance confidence while preserving a natural appearance.
Eda believes that aesthetic treatment should be about enhancing a person’s natural features rather than changing the way they look. With many years of experience in non-surgical aesthetics, she takes a considered approach to treatment, combining her clinical nursing background with an in-depth understanding of facial aesthetics and skin health.
Every consultation begins with listening. Eda takes time to understand what each patient would like to improve, their expectations and the result they hope to achieve. She then considers their individual features, skin condition and overall treatment goals before recommending an appropriate approach.
Eda believes that good aesthetic treatment is rarely about doing more. Her preference is for carefully selected treatments that work together to create balanced, harmonious results without compromising facial character or expression. Whether using injectable treatments, skin therapies or energy-based technologies, her aim is always to achieve results that look natural and proportionate.
Patient safety and trust are fundamental to Eda’s practice. Her background in acute nursing has instilled a strong appreciation of careful assessment, clinical responsibility and clear communication. She believes patients should be fully informed about their treatment options and potential outcomes and will always provide honest advice about what is, and is not, appropriate.
Above all, Eda wants patients to leave feeling more confident while still looking like themselves. Her goal is to build long-term relationships through personalised treatment, realistic expectations and consistent, high-quality care.
