The Best Way to Treat Excessive Sweating

Posted on 13 July, 2021

Sweating is a really normal part of life. This sophisticated bodily function kicks in when our body starts to over heat. It is important that our bodies function within a healthy temperature range - too hot or too cold and our physiological processes will start to malfunction. If you are wondering what excessive sweating actually is - then chances are you that don’t have it. I sweat normally and happily in the gym -it is appropriate, I am working out, I want to sweat!  Excessive sweating however, is when you sweat in situations that you shouldn’t. I hold my hands up (I can now thanks to underarm botox!) I am an excessive sweater, so I can talk with authority on this somewhat unsexy topic! Excessive sweating can mean having big wet patches under the arms in environments that are not especially hot. Excessive sweating does not just affect the underarms (although this tends to be the most common area affected)-it can also be on the face, in the scalp, on the palms of your hands and your feet. This type of sweating can feel physically uncomfortable. The physical discomfort is one thing. The other and perhaps more important issue, is the way it makes sufferers feel. Feelings of anxiety and stress that can be triggered as a direct result of excessive sweating,  can inhibit our confidence and general sense of wellbeing. Speaking from experience I know exactly how this problem affects you. Once you know it is a thing with your body, then your mind then starts to get involved! So now you begin to worry about the sweating before it actually happens and of course, this worry and fretting triggers the sweating more and more. A classic catch 22 scenario. For most excessive sweaters, they become adept at disguising the problem. Whether by wearing dark colours, avoiding certain cuts and styles or simply walking around with arms firmly clenched down against their sides. Excessive sweating treatment involves a series of painless superficial injections. Experiencing the results of excessive sweating treatment could be the most liberating experience of your life - it was for me! When I first experienced this treatment, I was sceptical. I had tried many over the counter remedies and whilst some did work they left me very skin or insane itching that kept me awake all night. Under arm injections were painless, straight forward and the results knocked my socks off! The treatment starts to kick in within a few days and can last up to 6 months so for many, one treatment per year may be enough. If you feel burdened by the anxiety of profuse, uncontrollable sweating or if you have an event that you simply want to ensure you look your absolute best then this is the gold standard treatment - book in, get treated, feel liberated!
