Aesthetics Through The Ages

Posted on 17 November, 2011

Facial Aesthetics are not just for  any one age range, nowadays there are so many treatments avaialble to enhance the features of both men and women of all ages.

Twenties

Those in their early twenties are most likely to be interested in lip enhancement. You don’t need to look very far to see that fashion leads the way for full bodied lips! For those not blessed with naturally full lips, products like Juvederm®Smile and Teosyal® Kiss provide a safe and temporary way to add to what mother nature gave you. Hyaluronic acid is the product found in these types of ‘fillers’ and is also found as a naturally occurring substance in the body. Lip enhancement can be carried out on a totally individualised basis, some opt for the lip line, creating subtle enhancement to the lip borders. Lip fillers can also be used in the main body of the lip as well enhancing the cupids bow. For those that are really daring you might opt for all of the above! The treatment lasts around 6 months and can be ‘topped up’ on an ‘as needed’ basis. Teosyal® Redensity is a brand new product brought to us by the Teosyal® team. This product has been designed specifically with those in their twenties in mind. It will deliver on a number levels, skin gets hydration, regeneration, restoration and the ability to reflect light.

Late Twenties Early Thirties

This is the time when fine ‘static’ lines begin to show. These can be treated using wrinkle reduction injections, working on the ‘active lines’ and preventing the ‘static lines’ from deepening. There are three main areas that people usually treat; the forehead, the frown and the crows feet. There are other places you can inject; around the lips to try to reduce ‘smokers’ lines, the chin area to treat ‘cobbled’ chins and also bunny lines and gummy smiles are all treatable using wrinkle reduction injections. Micro needling and chemical skin peels will help the overall appearance of the skin and their effects maintained by annual treatments.

Late Thirties Early Forties

The face starts to lose volume around this time and the triangular shape we have can start to invert with flat cheeks and sagging jowls. Dermal fillers can be used to plump out deep lines like those that form from the mouth to the nose and add volume back where it has been lost. Late Forties The 'liquid facelift' refers to the use of wrinkle reduction injections combined with deep volumising products such as Juvederm® Voluma and Teosyal ®Ultimate. These volumising fillers help to lift the face and last for around a year and combined with wrinkle reduction injections provide a non surgical alternative to a standard facelift. Looking after your skin can start at any time but the earlier you do so the better results you can acheive and maintain.
